Here's what we were working with - a tired front yard with patchy, worn-out grass, no defined layout, and zero curb appeal. The kind of yard that just blends into the background. The homeowners wanted something clean, structured, and low-maintenance. So that's exactly what we built.

We started by stripping everything out. You can see the skid steer on-site doing the heavy work - clearing the old lawn, grading the ground, and getting a clean slate to work from. Utility flags were marked before we touched a thing. That's just how we operate. No shortcuts, no surprises.

Once the groundwork was done, we laid fresh sod across the main lawn area, giving the yard that thick, even green that makes a house look sharp from the street. For the side yard, we went a different direction - a clean gravel installation with large flat gray pavers set in a staggered stepping-stone pattern leading from the front of the property all the way back. Upright evergreen shrubs were planted along the fence line to add structure and a little privacy over time.

The planting beds got a full hardscaping treatment with block edging, dark mulch, and colorful flowers tucked in alongside pathway lighting. The existing tree in the front lawn got its own circular raised bed - block-edged, filled with decorative rock and flowers - so it became a feature instead of just a tree sitting in the middle of the yard.

The whole design came together with a lot of different elements, but nothing feels random. Each piece has a purpose. That's what good landscape design does - it takes a yard from forgettable to finished.
